HORTA COMUNITÁRIA SOB O PONTO DE VISTA DAS INSTITUIÇÕES BENEFICIADAS

Abstract

Eating healthy foods is important in ensuring a long and healthier life. Thus, projects were created aiming at stimulating changes in the population's eating behaviors, training people involved in the production of vegetables, as well as students and teachers. A Community Vegetable Garden was set up in the municipality of Morrinhos, in the southern part of the state of Goiás, to provide free weekly vegetables to philanthropic entities, with the surplus being distributed at events promoted by the City Hall. The objective of this work was to present the results obtained in the Community Vegetable Garden Project after a year and a half of implementation, as well as the point of view of the beneficiary institutions.
