Abstract

In "Emilio, or of the education," we have the fictional character of Emilio, a rich family orphan. The author has him as a pupil, instigating him to intellectual growth, but in a different way from the current education format, proposes a negative education. We aim, in this text, to analyze, under the discursive vision, the forms of objectification and subjectivation that compose the construction of the subject in "Emilio, or of the Education." According to Foucault (2009), there is a need to transform man into 'docile bodies' and break with the old paradigm of body torture, there is the creation of new bodies. We will therefore think of the construction of this subject within the scope of this book. As a methodological contribution, we will use the theoretical assumption about the statement.
