Abstract

The right to attend university was only given to women in the 19th century and since then they have been breaking down barriers imposed by the structural machismo that exists in our country. Even though we have been successful in many areas over the years, there are still issues to be overcome in the social sphere, such as work overload due to the accumulation of professional and domestic activities, which still falls mostly on women. Bearing in mind that the number of women has grown in universities, and that some of them are or become mothers during their studies, it is important to give visibility to the specificities of these women so that their agendas can be discussed at an institutional level and institutional policies can be specific to their permanence and success. in their training. This is a quantitative-qualitative research where data was obtained through mixed questionnaires that were carried out using the Google Forms tool. The sampling was the group of student mothers from IF Goiano – Campus Ceres and representatives of student assistance from educational institutions in the state of Goiás. The objective of the research was to collect relevant data for a better quality of academic life for these students and to make institutional the its specificities.
