FORMAÇÃO PROFISSIONAL E ÁREA DE ATUAÇÃO PEDAGÓGICA DOCENTE NAS ESCOLAS DE ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL II DO MUNICÍPIO DE CRISTALINA-GO

Abstract

For school learning to happen it is essential to mediate teachers with mastery of the knowledge to be taught and the means to do it effectively. The present work aims to carry out an analysis of professional training and pedagogical performance of teachers of basic education in the municipal education network in the municipality of Cristalina-GO, aiming to present the teaching modalities they work in and the corresponding training area. Under the assumption that initial and continuing teacher education has been a priority in Brazilian education since the beginning of the 21st century, the research is justified by the intention to show the design of the professional profile of the teacher, contributing to the recognition of initial education and the relationship with the indispensable area of ​​action to implement a policy of improving municipal basic education. It is a documentary research with qualitative analysis. From the analysis developed, we sought to demonstrate the relevance of placing professionals in the teaching modality relevant to their initial training, improving the quality of the teaching-learning process and the success of proficient development of basic education. It was found that the lack of professionals in specific areas to work in Elementary School II, a teaching function which recommends the work of a specialist who theoretically has specific knowledge combined with didactic skills based on undergraduate courses. It also causes problems with the adequacy of professionals to teaching practice at this level of education, which can be a factor influencing learning and corroborating the low results obtained by the municipality in educational development research.
