DESAFIOS IMPOSTOS AOS PROFESSORES DO ENSINO SUPERIOR PÚBLICO NO BRASIL NO SÉCULO XXI

Abstract

Many challenges are imposed on university professor. Those challanges result in this study project that aims to understand everything possible about the history of the universities in Brazil and the significant changes that have occurred in the academic context, specifically the challenges faced by university professors in the XXI Century. It is part of a bibliographical review based on authors who write about the University in Brazil, such as Cunha (2021), Brito; Cunha (2014); Dornfeld; Escolano (2009); Graça (2020). At the end of the study we concluded that the history of University in Brazil appears late and devoids of autonomy, a character that remains throughout its historical journey, but has also constituted an important source of power by the knowledge produced, and by its ability to act politically for the construction of a more humane society. However, the new century brings some challenges, which require a transformation in its pedagogical structure, among other dimensions presented in the research.
