| metadata.dc.description.resumo: | A tendinite é uma inflamação em tendões, caracterizada por uma lenta cicatrização. O plasma rico em plaquetas por sua vez, tem potencial reparador, devido a presença das plaquetas que contém diversos fatores de crescimento, que auxiliam na cicatrização. Foi atendido um equino macho de 12 meses por ferida lacerante em arame liso, e após um trauma que sofreu no hospital, desenvolveu tendinite no tendão flexor profundo. O diagnóstico foi concluído com o uso da ultrassonografia e o tratamento consistiu ao uso de anti-inflamatório, terapia a frio, laserterapia e repouso associado a aplicação do plasma rico em plaquetas que e foram eficientes para cicatrização e regeneração do TFDP. O objetivo do trabalho é relatar o uso de plasma rico em plaqueta como parte do tratamento em uma tendinite do tendão flexor digital profundo (TDFP) em um equino. |
| Abstract: | The study aims to report the use of platelet-rich plasma as part of the treatment for equine tendonitis in the deep digital flexor tendon (DDFT). Tendonitis is an inflammation in tendons, characterized by slow healing. Platelet-rich plasma, has a repairing potential, due to the presence of platelets that are the source of growth factors, which aid in healing. A 12-month-old male horse was treated for a lacerating wound caused by a smooth wire, and after a trauma that he suffered at the hospital, he developed tendonitis in the deep flexor tendon. The diagnosis was concluded with the use of ultrasound and the treatment consisted of the use of anti-inflammatory, cold therapy, laser therapy and rest associated with the application of platelet-rich plasma that was efficient for the healing and regeneration of DDFT. |
