A EDUCAÇÃO INFANTIL NO PLANO MUNICIPAL DE EDUCAÇÃO DE CALDAS NOVAS-GO: PERSPECTIVAS E DESAFIOS

Abstract

This article has as its theme the construction of the Municipal Education Plan (PME) of the City of Caldas Novas - GO, with emphasis on the goals for early childhood education. The objective of this work is to reflect on the perspectives and challenges of this document for the municipality's community. In addition, it seeks to understand how the process of preparing the PME took place, based on the National Education Plan (2014-2024) and the State Education Plan of the State of Goiás. Notes on the education process are presented. formation of the coordinating commission, the formulation, approval and application of the goals in the municipality. The PME is analyzed as an educational policy document, considering the actors involved in the different moments of the process. It is a documentary research, of qualitative nature. After the analyzes carried out, it is possible to verify that early childhood education presents problems common to most Brazilian municipalities, which is a greater demand than the offer of places in Early Childhood Education, especially with regard to Day Care Centers.
