A INCLUSÃO NO ENSINO SUPERIOR: ACESSO, PERMANÊNCIA E APRENDIZAGEM A PARTIR DE UM OLHAR SOBRE A UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DE CATALÃO – UFCat - GO

Abstract

Inclusive education can be considered a challenge experienced today, since deficiencies exist and cannot be ignored, therefore, the disabled have equal rights of access, permanence and quality of education at all levels, from basic to higher education. Therefore, this work aims to analyze the right to higher education in the light of the changes that Brazilian education has undergone in recent years, calling attention to the need to transform the quality standard, which should be constituted as a right for all, fundamental to public law and subjective to this level of education. It is a research based on the bibliographic survey, in which it seeks to identify scientific productions in national journals on disability, curriculum and inclusion in higher education, analyzing the issues related to access, permanence and learning from it. As well as a documentary study, based on information available on websites of the Federal University of Catalão - UFCat, regarding their actions towards inclusion. It is noted that some advances can already be observed, and people with disabilities have become more present in Higher Education Institutions, as is the case of the university under study, therefore, the challenges still exist and more actions must be sought educational activities with students with disabilities, guaranteeing them access and permanence to a higher quality education, asserting their right to democracy and citizenship.
