MONITORIA E NECESSIDADES EDUCACIONAIS ESPECÍFICAS: RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA

Abstract

Needs-based support is one of the Education Support Programs offered in institutions that helps both the development of students with learning difficulties and the academic training of the monitor. From this, the present work aims to present an intervention from the performance of a monitor in the Academic Monitoring Program to attend students with Specific Educational Needs. The research was developed at the Federal Goiano Institute - Campus Urutaí, Goiás, Brazil. For this, a student with Specific Educational Needs was followed up in the Biological Sciences course. The study was of a qualitative nature, being an intervention, which takes into account observations and analyzes. Thus, the research was an intervention in the disciplines that are part of the curricular matrix of the course in Biological Sciences, based on the relationship between a tutor and a student with Specific Educational Needs. The student in question took extracurricular classes, as a way to try to minimize the difficulties she encountered within the classroom. As a result, the importance of the role of needs-based support for the learning of students with Specific Educational Needs was observed, in addition to minimizing the difficulties and increasing the potential of the student who is the target audience of special education. From this, it was possible to notice the importance of using different pedagogical strategies and resources for the learning of students with Specific Educational Needs, in order to contribute to the academic training of students from the Federal Goiano Institute - Campus Urutaí and collaborate with the educational inclusion of these students.
