A LITERATURA E SUA IMPORTÂNCIA COMO ESTRATÉGIA NA FORMAÇÃO INTELECTUAL DOS ALUNOS DA EDUCAÇÃO INFANTIL

Abstract

The work aims to investigate, through bibliographic review, the importance of literature as a tool in the strategy of intellectual training of students of early childhood education. Thus, the school has an important role in building the character of the citizen. It must be critical, develop its own opinions and be able to intervene in the social environment where it is inserted. These qualities must be formed at the beginning of school years and persist in the educational process. When the student brings with him/her this baggage, the habit of reading becomes pleasurable, this enriches their knowledge exceeding their expectations and breaking the horizons of knowledge. In this way, we verified in the analysed works, that literature has an important role in the process of teaching and learning, because it contributes to the cognitive development of students. Therefore, it is necessary to encourage the habit of reading in childhood, where they are formed, because of its relevance to the integral development of students. In this context, the habit of reading still in early childhood education is a fundamental part for the integral development of the child, because it is a particular being with potentialities, but also difficulties and limitations.
