CONSTRUÇÃO DE MAQUETES DO CENTRO CULTURAL NIEMEYER (CCON): UMA PROPOSTA DE ENSINO DE ALGUNS CONCEITOS MATEMÁTICOS

Abstract

The present Bachelor's Thesis aims to explore the construction of scale models as an effective pedagogical tool in teaching mathematical and geometrical knowledge, with a special focus on the application of scales and exploration of geometric solids. The Oscar Niemeyer Cultural Center (CCON), located in Goiânia-GO, was chosen for the construction of the scale models, which were applied to students from the 2nd grade A and 2nd grade B of Rodrigo Rodrigues da Cunha School, in Pires do Rio-GO. The study developed addresses the importance of using scales in the construction of scale models, as well as the identification of different geometric solids, highlighting how this practice contributes to students' geometric understanding. We will show the different techniques and materials that students used in the elaboration of the scale models, as well as the results obtained in the execution of this activity. We can already say that this work provided a whole differentiated teaching and learning experience throughout the construction of the scale models.
