Title: MANIFESTAÇÕES PATOLÓGICAS EM PINTURAS: ESTUDO DE CASO EM DUAS EDIFICAÇÕES NO INSTITUTO FEDERAL GOIANO – CAMPUS RIO VERDE

metadata.dc.description.resumo: A pintura na construção civil tem uma função importante além de contribuir com o embelezamento dos elementos construtivos permite também a proteção do substrato. A não utilização de projeto e execução seguindo técnicas adequadas, pode colaborar para o surgimento de defeitos e outros problemas na pintura. Grande número de edificações públicas encontram-se afetadas por manifestações patológicas e até mesmo sucateamento, causando gastos por parte do governo com inspeções, reformas, reparo em pinturas das alvenarias das construções. Assim, o objetivo deste artigo foi o estudo das patologias em dois edifícios do Instituto Federal Goiano - Campus Rio Verde e propor técnicas de reparos, visto que, identificar as manifestações patológicas e propor os métodos de intervenção pode auxiliar os profissionais locais na formulação das melhores medidas preventivas e corretivas, além de alertar para as consequências de erros de projetos e falhas construtivas futuras. Os edifícios em estudos foram: Laboratório de Ecofisiologia e Produtividade Vegetal e o edifício da Gerência de Assistência Estudantil, ambos construídos em 1973 com estrutura de concreto armado e alvenaria convencional. A metodologia empregada foi baseada no estudo de MASHNI e VIEIRA (2020), com meio de investigação em pesquisa bibliográfica e estudo de caso, recorrendo a observação in loco e o levantamento de dados como instrumento de pesquisa. Os principais sintomas patológicos identificados nas duas edificações incluem desagregação (22%), descascamento (35%), manchas de bolor (20%), bolhas (19%) e mofo (4%). As principais causas dessas manifestações patológicas estão relacionadas à presença de umidade (81,50%), preparação inadequada do substrato, especificações incorretas, baixa qualidade da tinta ou aplicação incorreta (18,50%). O estudo destaca as intervensões necessárias nas patologias identificadas e a necessidade de manutenção regular. Portanto, investir na correção dessas manifestações patologias e na aplicação correta das técnicas de reparo é de extrema importância.
Abstract: Painting in the construction industry plays an important role. As well as helping to beautify building elements, it also allows the substrate to be protected. Failure to design and execute paintwork using appropriate techniques can lead to defects and other problems. A large number of public buildings are affected by pathological manifestations and are even scrapped, causing the government to spend money on inspections, renovations and repairs to masonry painting. The aim of this article was therefore to study the pathologies in two buildings at the Instituto Federal Goiano - Campus Rio Verde and propose repair techniques, since identifying pathological manifestations and proposing intervention methods can help local professionals formulate the best preventive and corrective measures, as well as warning of the consequences of design errors and future construction failures. The buildings under study were: the Ecophysiology and Plant Productivity Laboratory and the Student Assistance Management building, both built in 1973 with a reinforced concrete structure and conventional masonry. The methodology used was based on the study by MASHNI and VIEIRA (2020), using bibliographical research and a case study, using on-site observation and data collection as research tools. The main pathological symptoms identified in the two buildings include crumbling (22%), peeling (35%), mold stains (20%), blisters (19%) and mildew (4%). The main causes of these pathological manifestations are related to the presence of humidity (81.50%), inadequate preparation of the substrate, incorrect specifications, low quality paint or incorrect application (18.50%). The study highlights the necessary interventions in the pathologies identified and the need for regular maintenance. Therefore, investing in correcting these pathological manifestations and in the correct application of repair techniques is extremely important.
Painting in construction is used to provide protection and a final finish to the substrate, as well as improving the hygiene of the environment. It is an extremely important stage and failure to properly plan and execute this process leads to unwanted damage to buildings. Pathological manifestations in paintwork on buildings are the result of various factors including the inappropriate choice of materials and the lack of periodic maintenance or inefficient maintenance of structural elements. This study focuses on the investigation of pathologies in two buildings on the Rio Verde Campus of the Instituto Federal Goiano and proposes repair techniques. The study objects, the Ecophysiology and Plant Productivity Laboratory and the Student Assistance Management Building, were built in 1973 with a reinforced concrete structure and conventional masonry.
