DETERMINAÇÃO DA EQUAÇÃO DE CHUVAS PARA A CIDADE DE GOIÂNIA - GO

Abstract

Maximum precipitation can be understood as an extreme event, with duration, temporal and spatial distribution critical to a specific geographic region. The data of these precipitations are obtained through the intensity-duration-frequency (IDF) curves which determine the maximum precipitation intensity that may occur in a given period of time (BASSO et al., 2019). Thus, the objective of this work was to present the IDF rainfall equation for the municipality of GoiâniaGO, contributing to the elaboration of hydraulic works projects, and to improve the safety in the flow of storm projects for the city studied. Initially, a literature review was performed through bibliographic research and, subsequently, the rainy events that occurred in the city of Goiânia during the 10-year period (2009 to 2019) were analyzed, obtained from the pluvigrapher no. 83423, operated by the National Institute of Meteorology. From these data, the Gumbel distribution model and Kolmogorov-Smirnov adhesion test were applied. With this, the annual series of the extreme values of rainy events occurred in the municipality was performed and the nonlinear regression methods were studied to determine the parameters of the equation. These parameters were obtained through the Root Mean Squared Error and Mean Absolute Percentage of Error calibrations, which made it possible to obtain the IDF rainfall equation. Thus, it was possible to compare the intensity obtained through the Gumbel distribution model and the two calibration methods, identifying the percentage error between them.
