RELAÇÃO ENTRE ALTAS PRODUTIVIDADES E O TURNO DE REGA EM PLANTAS DE ALFACE: UM ESTUDO EM CULTIVO PROTEGIDO

Abstract

The study of the adoption of a fixed irrigation shift for the different vegetables is necessary in order to carry out an adequate irrigation management and help in the best decision-making when carrying out the irrigations. In this context, there is a need for studies that aim to provide information regarding the appropriate moment to carry out irrigation, which is of fundamental importance for the success of the irrigated agricultural enterprise. Thus, the present work was developed with the objective of evaluating the influence of the irrigation shift on the productivity and efficiency of water use in the culture of lettuce cv. Veronica. The experiment was carried out in a protected environment in the experimental area of the Educational Unit of Olericulture Production of the Instituto Federal Goiano, Campus Urutaí, state of Goiás. The experimental design was randomized blocks with four treatments (fixed irrigation shifts of 1, 2, 3 and 4 days) and four replications. The results demonstrate that the 1- and 2-day irrigation shifts favored the development of the crop and can be recommended for other crops. However, irrigation shifts longer than 2 days are harmful to the crop.
