Abstract

This article aims, through bibliographic research, to analyze articles, books, videos, documents such as the National Curricular Common Base (BNCC) and National Curricular Parameters (PCNs) to understand the proposals for environmental education in the early years of elementary school. The inclusion of important themes for the conservation of the planet and life in the contemporary world represents the maintenance of future generations, since in the early years of elementary school children can learn good environmental practices, making citizens with attitudes and values focused on environmental conservation. Presenting and teaching environmental education can change habits and provide a better quality of the environment and, consequently, of life for people. Therefore, it is important to study and understand these documents and their proposals for education, and to be able to contribute to the improvement of future proposals. The world is going through a period in which it is necessary to reflect on teaching and its contributions, especially those related to environmental issues, which represent the survival of humanity on the planet.
