O HÁBITO DA LEITURA NOS ANOS INICIAIS DO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL

Abstract

This article is about the importance of reading for the development of critical vision and the practice of writing in students in the early years of Elementary School. This production aimed to verify how the reading acquisition process happens in the initial series and what the school has done to make this acquisition happen with quality. And, specifically, to analyze the reasons that lead children not to develop reading and comprehension; and, understand how educators deal with students who have difficulties in the reading acquisition process. It is intended, through this work, to enrich knowledge, being able to serve as a source of research for professionals involved with education, with perspectives of expanding the domain of reading. In this way, it was concluded that, in order to write well, it is necessary to have read, that is, a person will only be able to produce texts if they have a vocabulary repertoire. To achieve this condition, it is essential to have the habit of reading, which justifies the theme. And reading should begin, with greater emphasis, in the early years of elementary school.
