Abstract

In view of that Special Education from the Perspective of Inclusive Education is an issue that involves many questions and needs many advances to become accessible and of quality, there was the inquietude and the need to seek knowledge about the performance of the professional LIBRAS interpreter in the teaching process. and learning of deaf students in the classroom. The study was carried out through a professional scientific research with the objective of knowing the skills of the interpreter with the deaf student, based on MANTOAN 2003, SASSAKI (1997). For this, it was sought as laws that regulate the profession of the LIBRAS interpreter, investigating data from existing theoretical materials, seeking a qualification, since the deaf is present in the school environment and one of their rights is the presence of the professional translator and interpreter of Libras, for the better development of the communicative and formative process of the deaf student. Because of this, understanding the role of this professional and their responsibilities with the deaf student in the classroom is of big relevance and lives up to the rights to a quality education with accessibility for everyone in all social spaces.
