Abstract: | Nematodes of the genus Helicotylenchus sp. has been shown to be present in several soil and root samples in soybean cultivation areas. Spiral nematode has become an emerging nematode for culture because it has the potential to cause direct damage to it. The objective of this work was to conduct a population survey of Helicotylenchus sp. associated with areas with soybean cultivation, in the municipalities of Rio Verde - GO and Montividiu - GO. The samples were collected during the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 harvest, and were subsequently processed in the Phytopathology and Nematology laboratory of IF Goiano, Rio Verde Campus, and the nematoids were extracted and the occurrence quantified. Individuals of Helicotylenchus spp were found. in 94.48% of the soil and root samples collected in the municipalities of Rio Verde and Montividiu. In Rio Verde, the presence of Helicotylenchus was detected in 90% of the soil samples in the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 crop and 10% in the root samples in the 2019/2020 crop and 80% in the 2020/2021 crop. In the municipality of Montividiu, an evaluation was made only in the 2019/2020 crop season, where the presence of these individuals was verified in 100% of soil samples and 78% in root samples. The incidence of nematodes in the soil, both in the municipality of Rio Verde and Montividiu, was higher when compared to root samples. |
