DIAGNOSE DA QUALIDADE DA ÁGUA DA REPRESA DO RIBEIRÃO MIMOSO, MUNICÍPIO DE MORRINHOS - GO

Abstract

Water quality, in terms of salinity, sodicity and toxicity, are aspects that must be taken into account in agricultural crops. Waters with an excess of salts or sodicity can alter the soil water potential and interfere in the process of water absorption by plants. Considering the origin and uses of water at the Federal Institute of Goiano Campus Morrinhos, this work aimed to analyze and present a diagnosis of the quality of irrigation water, comparing the results obtained from certain physical, chemical and microbiological parameters with the standards stipulated in CONAMA Resolution 357/05 for class 2 waters. Three points were collected within the area of the Instituto Federal Goiano Campus Morrinhos. None of the three points evaluated complies with CONAMA Resolution 357/05 for class 2. However, even with the non-compliance of aluminum and phosphorus, we cannot rule out the use of this water, as these results may be due to some punctual and momentary contamination. The ideal would be to periodically analyze the irrigation water, before use in each crop, and adjust the desired parameters as needed by the crop.
