METODOLOGIAS ALTERNATIVAS NO ENSINO DE CIÊNCIAS E BIOLOGIA: UMA ANÁLISE BIBLIOGRÁFICA

Abstract

The teaching of Science and Biology is mentioned in official documents as fundamental for the formation of critical citizens with an active social role. However, many studies have shown that classes in these disciplines often generate disinterest and lead students to just memorize the content to fulfill the assessment activities, without really assimilating the content and contextualizing it with their daily life. Many educators are dedicated to just following the curriculum, limiting themselves to the use of the textbook and the traditional classroom space. Alternative teaching methodologies are pedagogical tools that help teachers to diversify their content approaches, bringing innovation and encouragement to scientific teaching. The aim of this study was to produce a literature review on these methodologies, aiming to demonstrate their theories and practices, and their importance for the educational process. We searched for scientific theoretical basis, in authors who dedicated themselves to the study of the theme, through the bibliographical review, important studies were selected for the understanding of the theme, topics were produced on the role of the teacher in the teaching process; ICT methodologies; the playful teaching;, the practices of active investigation and interdisciplinarity, encompassing this information in a text that proposes to expand the educational scientific literature, contributing to the advancement and improvement of teaching-learning in Science and Biology.
