O ESTUDO DE PRISMAS E PIRÂMIDES NO 6º ANO DO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL POR MEIO DE MATERIAL MANIPULATIVO

Abstract

This work was developed with the objective of presenting an educational proposal for the initial study of the polyhedra “Prisms and pyramids” in elementary school, especially in the 6th year and as a likely contribution for the sequential years. It becomes a playful pedagogical suggestion for educators and aims to reduce the abstraction that can accompany the conceptions of these objects by students, in this elementary way we align the study of these polyhedra with additional support of concrete material in spatial geometry. In the foundation of this production, a bibliographic research was carried out examining works that approach the subject in question. In the opportunity parallel to this theme, the provocative question of this research refers to: How to work the concepts of “Prisms and Pyramids” in a creative and critical way and still enliven students' interest in this theme, using manipulative material? This research intends to discuss possible pedagogical subsidies resulting from this inquiry and in this context, it adopts BNCC 2017 to support and reach probable answers, as well as other authors.
