| metadata.dc.description.resumo: | O hemangiossarcoma é uma neoplasia maligna, agressiva e com grandes chances de metástase. O objetivo do trabalho foi relatar o caso de hemangiossarcoma grau I em um cão. Como sinal clínico o animal apresentou apenas hematúria, exames físicos não apontaram alterações dignas de nota e os exames laboratoriais pedidos foram o hemograma, o bioquímico, a urinálise, o SDMA (dimetilarginina simétrica), a ultrassonografia abdominal total e o eletrocardiograma. O tratamento instituído foi a nefrectomia do rim esquerdo associado ao protocolo quimioterápico a fim de se evitar a disseminação de células neoplásicas. |
| Abstract: | Hemangiosarcoma is an aggressive, malignant neoplasm with a high chance of metastasis. The aim of the study was to report the case of grade I hemangiosarcoma in a dog. As a clinical sign, the animal showed only hematuria, physical exams did not show any notable changes and the laboratory tests requested were blood count, biochemistry, urinalysis, SDMA (symmetric dimethylarginine), total abdominal ultrasound and electrocardiogram. The treatment instituted was nephrectomy of the left bad associated with the chemotherapy protocol in order to prevent the spread of neoplastic cells.
