This study aimed to evaluate the effects of probiotics on the performance and behavior of commercial laying hens. Six hundred birds of approximately 70 weeks of age were used, randomly distributed, being 300 of them fed with conventional feed and 300 fed with commercial probiotic (Pediococcus acidilactici e Lactobacillus plantarum). The experimental diet was based on corn and soybean meal and supplemented with probiotic composed by Pediococcus acidilactici and Lactobacillus plantarum. The experiment lasted 84 days and was divided into 4 cycles of 21 days each. Positive effects (p<0.05) of probiotic supplementation on viability and quantity of dirty eggs were observed. For the other productive performance characteristics analyzed there was no interference.pt_BR
