A AFETIVIDADE COMO FERRAMENTA IMPORTANTE NA APRENDIZAGEM MATEMÁTICA

Abstract

The objective of this work was to bring out the importance of affectivity between teacher/student in mathematical learning, investigating how this role has been played in the mathematics course of the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia Goiano - Campus de Urutaí. The main focus of this work is to investigate and analyze how affectivity can be important for the development of mathematical learning. It also brings some facts to which students and teachers avoid this relationship of affection. The project consists of a

bibliographical and qualitative research, which was based on authors such as Chacón (2003), Medeiros (2005), Freire (1996), among others, and also presents results of a questionnaire made with students of the aforementioned Licentiate course. Through this work, it is concluded that affectivity is extremely important in student learning and that all educators should be aware of it, as they must also be able to convey trust and affection. Mathematics may or may not have relevance in the lives of some students, and this issue may be related to the method in which mathematics is presented to them. It is very important that mathematical knowledge is contextualized, bringing meaning to what the student is learning, because the moment the student understands the content, he becomes more autonomous. And the teacher has a direct affective influence on students' decision-making and on the development of their learning.
