Abstract
In this collection, we make available twelve unpublished comics developed in the Graduate Program in Teaching for Basic Education These comics were built from scientific articles developed by Brazilian and foreign scholars and that were published in internationally renowned magazines Motivados e Inspired in the relevant issues that defend the initiatives for the popularization of Science and comics as a potential tool to work on scientific studies, we believe that our work is configured in an innovative and alternative initiative to popularize the scientific knowledge produced and elaborated by several researchers for the public widespread in various educational institutions. For the use of comics in schools, it is suggested that they be used in a complementary way in classes of Elementary School II of Basic Education, according to the related contents. From a previous contextualization, the comics explore environmental issues such as pollution, Cerrado biome, organization and dynamics of species related to health, such as the contribution of research in vaccine development, study on Covid 19 However, the stories can contribute dynamically on the study of the contents in progress. Briefly, the stories comprise narratives with plots and characters that deal with the central theme of each scientific article in a relaxed and engaging way.
