INVESTIGAÇÃO DA DEMANDA PARA IMPLANTAÇÃO DE UMA CRECHE NOTURNA NO INSTITUTO FEDERAL GOIANO - CAMPUS CERES

Abstract

Considering the daily struggle faced by many student and staff mothers and a maternal experience lived by the researcher, the project entitled "Investigation on the demand for the implementation of a night daycare center at IF Goiano - Campus Ceres" aimed to conduct a survey on the relevance of implementing a night daycare center at the Federal Institute of Goiano Campus Ceres for student and staff mothers. Thus, a qualitative and quantitative research on the subject was developed and conducted. The qualitative approach was developed through a literature review on the theme, while the quantitative approach was carried out through descriptive research, in which data was collected and analyzed to compose the study in question. As a result of the research, it was observed that the percentage of staff and student-mothers in the evening period is low, however, it is important to pay attention to these student and staff mothers, since many of them do not have a support network outside the institution. In addition, it is expected that this research can contribute to the permanence and success of student-mothers, as well as to the formation of a fruitful space for innovative pedagogical practices related to teaching, research, and extension.
