ANAIS 7º SEMINÁRIO CIENTÍFICO SOBRE AGRICULTURA FAMILIAR 2018

Abstract

The 2018 Family Agro Midwest Fair was held in São Luís de Montes Belos, with activities on the Campus of the State University of Goiás (UEG). The event took place between the 9th and 11th of May and is the result of a partnership between the IF Goiano, the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), the Ministry of Agrarian Development - MDA, the National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform - Incra, the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation - Embrapa, the Goiás Agency for Technical Assistance, Rural Extension and Research Agriculture - EMATER, social movements, confederations and cooperatives of farmers and family farmers, in addition to other entities. During this event, the Instituto Federal Goiano promoted the 7th edition of the Scientific Seminar on Family Farming. The seminar, conceived by the IF Goiano, intends to encourage research in the area and promote a space for the dissemination of technical and scientific productions related to family farming, based on the submission of scientific abstracts and reports of experiences from research and/or extension work. Students, professors, technicians and professionals from different Brazilian regions actively participated in the presentation of 242 papers. Data from this event surpassed those from the previous edition, with 448 subscribers and 317 papers submitted. This edition of the seminar discussed family farming and its results are shared in this publication, which aims to collaborate with the development of family farming in Brazil, bringing the result of the application of research carried out in various institutions. This theme has been attracting rural producers from all over the State, as well as students and people interested in learning about new methods and technologies aimed at agricultural production.
