ANAIS 6º SEMINÁRIO CIENTÍFICO SOBRE AGRICULTURA FAMILIAR 2017

Abstract

In 2017, the Instituto Federal Goiano (IF Goiano) promoted the sixth edition of the Scientific Seminar on Family Agriculture, during the Feira Agro Centro-Oeste Familiar. The event, conceived by IF Goiano, intends to promote research in the area and constitute a space for the dissemination of technical and scientific productions related to family farming, based on the submission of abstracts of articles and oral presentation of works. Students, technicians and professionals from several Brazilian states actively participated in the presentation of 194 selected abstracts among the 283 submitted. The result of these works is compiled in this publication which intends, by demonstrating the research, to collaborate with the development of family farming in Brazil, through the application of research carried out in various institutions. The Family Agro Midwest Fair 2017 was held at the Federal University of Goiás - UFG, between June 7th and 10th. The event is the result of a partnership between IF Goiano, Federal University of Goiás (UFG), Secretariat of Family Agriculture and Agrarian Development - SEAD, National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform - Incra, Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation - Embrapa, Agência Goiana Technical Assistance, Rural Extension and Agricultural Research - EMATER, social movements, confederations and cooperatives of family farmers, in addition to other entities. The event discusses Family Farming through short courses, exhibitions, round tables and a technology show. The initiative has been attracting rural producers from across the state, students and people interested in learning about new methods and technologies for agricultural production.
