MÃOS QUE MIGRAM: PRELÚDIO Á REDE SOCIOAFETIVA DE MIGRAÇÃO NORDESTINA EM RIO VERDE - GOIÁS

Abstract

This book is an update of part of the doctoral thesis defended in August 2020 at the Graduate Program in Geography at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG-regional Jataí). Developed in the interweaving of personal, academic and professional lives, the research was guided by the associate professor, PhD Eguimar Felício Chaveiro from the Institute of Socio-Environmental Studies (IESA) of the UFG who signs the preface. Such as you don't even read in "Vida e Morte Severina", to see the migrants from Rio Verde, Goiás and, in particular, the northeastern subjects, critical affectivity is needed. Without intending to match the physical and psychic efforts of the pilgrimage of the character Severino, who reveals the poem by João Cabral de Melo Neto (2018), the construction of a thesis contains in itself an arduous and meandering path of work, sweat and learning. In this scientific journey, four years of wandering activities were shared with the study and research group Espaço, Sujeito e Existence, affectionately called “Dona Alzira”. Therefore, this book sheds light on this invisible subject, who acts at the base of the productive structure of Rio Verde and who, after migrating from his homeland, sustains with his hands the economic growth of the so-called “capital of agribusiness” in Goiás. With that in mind, a partial diagnosis is provided in this work so that the public, private and civil society sectors have subsidies to embrace more concrete management and remuneration policies, consistent with the profits earned from the hands of these Northeastern workers. Furthermore, it is intended that the northeastern migrant worker and other readers feel welcomed by this book.
