A IMPORTÂNCIA DO ENSINO DA ARTE NO DESENVOLVIMENTO DE CRIANÇAS NA EDUCAÇÃO INFANTIL

Abstract

This scientific work addresses the importance of teaching Art in the development of children in Early Childhood Education, based on the assumption that artistic activities (music, theater, painting, sculpture, cinema, dance, etc.) can significantly contribute to the development cognitive, physical and cultural development of the child. In this sense, the present research aims to reflect on the contributions of Art in the learning and development of children in Early Childhood Education, using bibliographical research as a methodology based on the scientific literature relevant to the theme. It is known, according to Barbosa (1991), that Art is a form of human manifestation since the most remote times. Such literature shows the different possibilities of pedagogical work and how these practices can contribute to the integral formation of children from 0 to 5 years old, since Art is capable of expressing different types of language and, with that, promoting the development and learning of child. Initially, the present study addresses historical and conceptual aspects of Early Childhood Education and Art. In addition, it presents how Art was instituted in the curricula of Brazilian schools. Finally, this work demonstrated that in fact Art has fundamental importance for the development of the child in early childhood education.
