TECNOLOGIAS ASSISTIVAS: O PAPEL DO PROFESSOR NA APRENDIZAGEM DE ESTUDANTES COM DEFICIÊNCIA VISUAL

Abstract

The article presented below deals with assistive technologies: the teacher's role in the learning of visually impaired students. The general objective of this study is to investigate the continuing education of teachers in relation to the use of assistive technologies, promoting a reflection on their educational and pedagogical practices, having visually impaired students in elementary school as references. The methodology used was the bibliographical research, of publications on the presented theme, encompassing the main laws that ensure the rights and the essential technological tools, to facilitate the learning of these students. The results reveal that the continuing education of teachers is important throughout the teaching process, as students with disabilities in elementary school need qualified service, which attends everyone without distinction.
