A EVOLUÇÃO DA HISTÓRIA DA EDUCAÇÃO INFANTIL NO BRASIL PÓS-LDB

Abstract

Education professionals in Brazil need to know their own history, which is important to understand all the educational milestones in teaching and learning achieved to date, and whether the evolution of early childhood education is transforming and bringing benefits to children. The main objective of this study is to investigate the evolution of early childhood education after the creation and sanctioning of the Brazilian Education Guidelines and Bases Law (LDB), to recognize that the evolution of early childhood education was long and full of challenges, to show that the LDB brought numerous contributions and finally to present the legislation that defines the main concepts of early childhood education. The enactment of the Basic Guidelines Law, LDB 9,394/96 brought Early Childhood Education as its first stage in Basic Education, with the duty to educate and care in education, guaranteeing children's rights, and also addresses issues such as financial resources and training of education professionals. It was possible to conclude that by recognizing early childhood education as the first stage of basic education, LDB 9394/96 reaffirms the importance of learning in the first years of life as a fundamental process to "develop the student, ensure him the common training indispensable for the exercise of citizenship and provide them with the means to progress in work and further studies”. As for the procedures carried out to build this article, bibliographic research was carried out, in depth of scientific articles, books, magazines, with the collaboration of several authors who have already discussed and produced articles on this topic. The Historical Evolution in Early Childhood Education after the creation of the Law of Directives and Bases of Brazilian Education (LDB) in Brazil caused changes in society at different times, reconstructing new visions about children, and changes that occurred with the conceptions of childhood.
