DIAGNÓSTICO RÁPIDO PARA A ESCOLHA DA ASSOCIAÇÃO DE FÁRMACOS NO TRATAMENTO DE MASTITE SUBCLINICA BOVINA: RELATO DE CASO

Abstract

A Holstein cow in full lactation, multiparous, with 4 years of age, approximately 300kg, who had a history of mastitis and decreased milk production, was attended on a farm property in the city of Orizona/GO. Rapid milking routine exams were performed (black background mug and California Mastitis Test) in order to identify changes, after the exams, a sample was collected to identify the etiological agent, and in the face of a positive result for Staphylococcus aureus, it was created an extended treatment therapy protocol associating the synergistic effect of the use of an injectable antimicrobial enrofloxacin with an intramammary antibacterial and anti-inflammatory steroidal tube based on amoxicillin, prednisone and clavulanate acid. Despite being considered a highly contagious and resistant bacterium, after the treatment period, tests were carried out and a new collection of the milk sample was carried out and it could be observed that there was no bacterial growth, this noting that the animal had obtained microbiological cure with the drugs has used.
