EDUCAÇÃO É A BASE: BASE COMUM CURRICULAR (BNCC) IMPORTÂNCIA E CONTEXTO HISTÓRICO

Abstract

The Common National Curriculum Base (BNCC) is a document that has undergone several modifications. Despite being thought since the constitution of 1988, the document begins to be elaborated only in 2014 and is finalized in the year 2018. While on the one hand it aims to train critical and conscientious individuals, the other side seeks to establish an orientation aimed at meeting capitalist demands. This work aims to present the historical context of the emergence of BNCC and assess the main changes that occurred in the three versions of BNCC, which were published in 2015, 2016, 2017, and in 2018 for high school. In analyzing the texts, we searched scientific articles mainly from SciELO, Government websites, as well as educational dissemination websites. Thus, the study carried out is of a qualitative nature of the document set of the three versions of the BNCC, which was evaluated by reading the introductory components and the chapters on Kindergarten, Elementary School and High School in each of the versions. Thus, the work was divided into four topics, which are the introduction, the historical context of the emergence of BNCC. We conclude that there were significant changes in each text, that is, the changes between the first and second versions are found to be continuities, as there is an expansion of what was previously proposed. The third version has some discontinuities in relation to other versions of BNCC
