DAS REPRESENTAÇÕES DO NEGRO NO UNIVERSO ESCOLAR AOS DESAFIOS DA EDUCAÇÃO PARA AS RELAÇÕES ÉTNICO-RACIAIS

Abstract

With the intention of increasing and ratifying the discussions that deal with the importance of teaching about ethnic-racial relations, with a view to the historical and cultural inclusion of the various that characterize national diversity, the main objective of this study is to present a brief scenario of the application of law 10.639/03. To achieve this purpose, the article proposes a literature review of a qualitative nature, based on authors such as Scaramal (2008), Rodrigues, Oliveira and Santos (2016), Oliveira and Junior (2012), Nascimento and Costa (2014), among others, in order to answer questions that substantiated the historical motivations for the emergence of the legal measure, problematize representations of blackness and identify some impasses and challenges that cross school education. Such discussions corroborated the need to implement policies aimed at recognizing African and Afro-Brazilian history and cultures in the initial and continuing education environments of undergraduate degrees, as well as breaking the supremacist and hegemonic structure that makes the participation of blacks in history invisible national.
