REFORMA AGRÁRIAS E EDUCAÇÃO DO/NO CAMPO

Abstract

This work sought to discuss the relationship between Agrarian Reform and Education in/of the countryside in the formation of the peasant subject, with a view to understanding their way of life and knowledge in survival to the capitalist expansion that seeks to dispossess this people of their land and culture. Therefore, it is understood that the Agrarian Reform is a land distribution policy that must be implemented by the government, however, in Brazil the Agrarian Reform is configured beyond property and latifundium and aims for the valorization and development of rural space, respecting the peasant’s way of living, and still requires an education that is specific to this people, thus arising, after many struggles and resistance, the education of/in the countryside that was thought by the peasants themselves based on their experiences of life and reality. Thus, starting from a materialistic and historical dialectical research that refers to the ideologies of Marx and seeks the construction of a thought that is logical and concrete and that is able to interpret reality. This research used references to authors such as Caldart (2012), Fernandes (2012) and Stedile (2012) so that it would be possible to better understand the class struggles for land and education and to arrive at the conclusion that this relationship is fundamental for the permanence and survival of the knowledge and culture of the peasants, It is necessary an education that meets and understands the peculiarities of the field, not because it is a different people, but because it is inserted in a different reality and needs an instrument to modify and improve its reality.
