Abstract: | The soil cover has an effect on the microclimate, changes in soil use modify the energy balance, as well as temperature and relative humidity values. Therefore, the general objective of this research was to investigate the thermal and hygrometric differences in points with different soil coverings (sugar cane plantation, pasture with brachiaria, trail with typical vegetation of cerrado and pivot of the institution where several experiments with cultures) and estimate and analyze the NDVI obtained in the Landsat 8 satellite images. The study was carried out at Instituto Federal Goiano - Campus Ceres and in the experimental area of the CRV Industrial Ltda. The Data were collected from Thermo-hygrometers and Landsat 8 satellite. It was observed that the vegetation point presented the lowest air temperature values and the highest relative humidity values, while sugar cane obtained the highest averages of air temperature and lowest averages of relative humidity. Thus, the soil cover directly influences the air temperature and indirectly on the relative humidity of the air due to evapotranspiration. With the use of NDVI images it was possible to observe the interaction of the type of soil cover with the temperature and relative humidity of the air, since the variability of the NDVI was correlated with the variations of the temperature and humidity of the air at the collection points. |
