Título: DIVERSIDADE E INCLUSÃO SOCIAL NO CONTEXTO EDUCACIONAL
Autor(es): Seminário Interdisciplinar (1. : 2018: Trindade GO)
Abstract: This book is the result of the I INTERDISCIPLINARY SEMINAR: DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION, conducted by the Lato Sensu Postgraduate Course in Humanities Teaching at the Federal Goiano Institute, Campus Trindade. The first part includes the texts of authors who participated as guests at round tables and conferences. The second part presents completed and ongoing surveys that were exposed during the event. The first article in this book is entitled “OI Interdisciplinary Seminar of IF Goiano, Campus Trindade and teacher training” and is by Alex Tristão de Santana, Joselina Alves Cardoso, Ruth Aparecida Viana da Silva and Claudine Faleiro Gill, professors of the Specialization in Humanities Teaching at IF Goiano, Campus Trindade. It presents theoretical reflection on the role of IF Goiano in the training of teachers and its social impact from the realization of scientific events, which provide a rethinking of pedagogical action. The authors indicate that training the teacher-researcher is a promising path in the realization of an education aimed at the social transformation and emancipation of the subject, values present in the documents and in the pedagogical practice of the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology. The text “Education and the challenges for inclusion in Brazil at the present time”, written by Aldimar Jacinto Duarte, professor at the School of Teacher Education and Humanities at PUC-GO, problematizes the conjuncture of Brazilian education in a context of rising discourses and elitist, xenophobic, racist and homophobic practices. Pointing out the need for a reading of education based on political, economic, social and cultural aspects, the author reinforces that the implementation of an inclusive education must deepen our democratic experience. The essay “The challenges of social inclusion of people with disabilities in an unequal society”, by Eguimar Felício Chaveiro, professor at the Institute for Social and Environmental Studies at UFG, and Marcia Rocha de Souza Antunes, Superintendent of Inclusion at the State Department of Education, Culture and Sport of Goiás, establishes reflection on the process of inclusion of people with disabilities in an unequal neoliberal society. Based on consolidated experiences in research projects and institutional partnerships, the authors emphasize that inclusion cannot be analyzed in isolation from the political, economic and cultural context that governs society and that prints a scenario marked by exclusion, socio-spatial segregation, inequalities social and violence. The article “Work and education: the current situation of gender discrimination in Brazil”, by Maria Cristina das Graças Dutra Mesquita, Maria Esperança Fernandes Carneiro and Lúcia Helena Rincón Afonso, brings a reflection on the insertion of women in the world of work and education from the Brazilian historical context. With the analysis of the participation of women in the Pedagogy course, the authors emphasize that despite the achievements related to insertion in higher education and the labor market, women still face different contradictions, arising from a deeply hierarchical society, which resists in maintaining inequalities of gender. The text on “Youth on the outskirts of Goiânia: trajectories, challenges and inclusion in the world of work”, is by Alexssandra de Oliveira Terribelle, professor at the Goiás State Education Network. The text presents results from her master's research, completed in 2006. When problematizing the relationship between Youth, Work and Education, the author argues that young people from the outskirts of Goiânia face numerous challenges for the realization of their life projects, and school and work do not always contribute to socialization and identity construction, and often reinforce processes of exclusion and precariousness in life. In the work “High skills: importance and recognition in the educational context” is written by Fernanda Gabriela do Espirito Santo Souza Medeiros, student of the Specialization in Teaching Humanities, from the Federal Goiano Institute, Campus Trindade. In order to understand the different skills and ways of learning present in regular schools, the text brings results of ongoing research, problematizing the teaching and learning processes of children with high skills. It emphasizes the importance of defining the concept of intelligence, of evidencing the legislation that regulates the school attendance of skilled children and of thinking about teacher training aimed at school inclusion, especially with regard to the competencies necessary for the teaching of students with high skills. The article “The school and the organization of pedagogical work: inclusive perspectives”, by Carla Salomé Margarida de Souza, Lilian Cristina dos Santos and Marlene Barbosa de Freitas Reis, both linked to the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Education, Language and Technologies, from the State University of Goiás, Campus Anápolis, aims to think about pedagogical work in an inclusive perspective. Based on bibliographic research in the works of authors who are references in inclusion studies, the results indicate that pedagogical practice aimed at “valuing diversity” permeates the collective reflection in each teaching unit, with a review of concepts and fundamentals that guide school practice and life. The article "Full-time school or full education: an analysis of the implementation of full-time schools in the state network of Goiânia" is authored by Rafael de Sousa Barbosa and Ricardo Júnior Assis Fernandes Gonçalves, both linked to the Specialization in Humanities Teaching , from IF Goiano, Campus Trindade. The text proposes to analyze the implementation of the full-time regime in the state school system, problematizing elements such as the effects on the teaching-learning process and the challenges in the management of the “extra time” that students remain in schools. In relation to the article “Distribution of industries in the municipality of Trindade (GO)”, written by Sinomar Silva dos Santos and Wildes Jesus Rodrigues, linked to the Specialization in Teaching Humanities, from the Federal Goiano Institute, Campus Trindade, aims to map the medium and large industrial activities in the municipality of Trindade. According to the authors, both the presence of medium and large-sized industries, as well as the locational attractions that the municipality has, are factors that directly interfere in its territorial dynamics. The article “Inclusive education and teacher training” is written by Françoísa Gontijo Timóteo and Alex Tristão de Santana, also linked to the Specialization in Humanities Teaching, from the Federal Goiano Institute, Campus Trindade. The text presents ongoing research and draws attention to the inclusion of Inclusive Education content in undergraduate courses at the Federal University of Goiás, Goiânia Regional. As a research proposal, the authors analyze the inclusion of disciplines aimed at inclusive education in the curricular matrices of undergraduate courses, arguing that in order to achieve effective school inclusion, it is essential to address the issue in initial teacher training. “The role of playfulness in the cognitive development of children in early childhood education”, is an article by Débora Rodrigues de Oliveira, student of the Specialization in Teaching Humanities, at the Federal Goiano Institute, Campus Trindade, whose objective is to problematize the contribution of playfulness for the child's cognitive growth. The text presents research in progress and focuses on the discussion about the role of play in the child's cognitive development, defending its contribution to the improvement of skills and quality learning. In the article “Brazilian educational policies: a brief discussion”, by Lara Izabella Tosta Arantes, doctoral student in Social Sciences at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, aims to trace a history of educational policies in Brazil, in order to understand the effectiveness the National Education Plan and the National Graduate Plan as educational planning tools. Based on bibliographic research, the author indicates that public educational policies consist of important instruments of social inclusion and for this reason they need to expand, through actions, projects and programs. In the “Representations of the Cerrado in the 4th and 5th year elementary school textbooks”, article by Yonara Karolliny Plácido Cintra, student of the Specialization in Humanities Teaching, from the Federal Goiano Institute, Campus Trindade. The text aims to analyze the representations of the Cerrado in elementary school textbooks, in order to indicate the importance of implementing a territorial approach. As this is an ongoing study, the author focuses her analysis on the Cerrado concept, presenting theoretical perspectives and authors who advocate a reading of this biome that values aspects beyond natural elements, such as politics, economics and cultural relations. The article “Research notes: the discourse on the first republic in PNLD 2018 history textbooks” is authored by Dianari Inácio de Morais Junior, student of the Specialization in Teaching Humanities, at the Federal Goiano Institute, Campus Trindade. It aims to understand how the First Republic is made explicit in history textbooks. The text is about ongoing research, and the partial results indicate that the textbooks bring narratives that do not problematize historical knowledge, delineating a past considered “homogeneous” and distant from the recent discussions carried out by experts on the subject. In the writings of the article "Interdisciplinarity and the formation of the subject" is authored by Marcilânia Gonçalves and Joselina Alves Cardoso, student and professor of the Specialization in Humanities Teaching at the Federal Goiano Institute, Campus Trindade, respectively. In order to understand the role of interdisciplinarity in the subject's emancipation process, the partial results of the research, in progress, indicate that educational institutions are environments that enhance this process, which requires a constant reassessment of pedagogical praxis. The article “Representation or consumerism: a small reflection on women represented in comics”, by Hevellin Estrela and Luciane S. Souza Prudente, servants of the Federal Goiano Institute, Campus Trindade, aims to understand female representation in characters from Comics (Comics). From qualitative research and bibliographic review, the text raises questions about the way women are seen through the lens of the authors, sympathizers of pop culture. It highlights the role of HQs as relevant didactic resources for working on themes related to “gender”, especially among adolescents. Finally, the article “BNCC proposal and the child education proposal of the municipal network of Goiânia” is authored by Gleibiane Martins Tavares and Ruth Aparecida Viana da Silva, linked to the Specialization in Humanities Teaching, from the Federal Goiano Institute, Campus Trindade, aims to analyze the proposals of the Common National Curricular Base for Early Childhood Education. The text presents research in progress and, based on the bibliographic and documentary review, highlights the convergent and divergent points between the Early Childhood Education proposal implemented in the Goiânia Education Network and the changes presented for the new BNCC.
