PLANTAS MEDICINAIS UTILIZADAS NA REGIÃO DE MORRINHOS COMO CHÁS E PROPOSTAS PARA O ENSINO-APRENIZAGEM DE ALGUMAS PROPRIEDADES FITOQUÍMICAS NA FORMAÇÃO PROFISSIONAL EJA

Abstract

This work was carried out with 8 students from a class of the national program for the integration of professional education with basic education in the modality of youth and adult Education (Proeja) in Agroindustry of the Instituto Federal Goiano (Goiano Federal Institute)- Morrinhos Campus. The Main objective was to associate the students' knowledge regarding medicinal plants with the teaching of organic chemistry, allowing students to learn about formulas and structures of the active ingredient of plants normally used in infusions. The methodological development was as follows: Initially an interview was conducted to analyze the students' opinions regarding the discipline of chemistry. Subsequently, the students read texts referring to the chemistry of teas. They also responded to a worksheet about one of the active principles present in some infusions. To finish, there was the production of a beverage based on medicinal plants and for socialization of knowledge and evaluation a tea fair was held open to the entire school community of the Institute. The subject of medicinal plants was already known by the students, and this aspect favored the work, because when the activities were applied, these students volunteered to participate actively and answer all the questions and discussions addressed. With the project, it was possible to affirm that the theme of teas and infusions can be interesting to work with in classes with young people and adults, both in the teaching of chemistry and in the processing of beverages since the professional training of these students is in the Agroindustry. In addition, the students demonstrated perseverance and involvement in the proposed activities.
