A FORMAÇÃO DOS PROFESSORES DA EJA: UM ESTUDO QUALITATIVO DA REALIDADE MORRINHENSE

Abstract

This study aims to reflect on the Education of Young Adults and Adults (EJA), analyzing the training of teachers, trying to understand how this training is given today and how it was before, comparing them and trying to understand the context we are living. Afterwards, it was analyzed the training of teachers focused on the education of young people and adults, reflecting on the curriculum of the pedagogy course and what should be restructured in the same, since at present no Federal University offers specific obligatory discipline on the EJA. Sees that the curriculum of education is weakened. Another important subject addressed was the pedagogical practice in the EJA, considering that this is fundamental for the students' learning and the teacher should always be rethinking and modifying it in fashion to consider the specificities of the student. And finally, he got up on the pedagogical possibilities in the EJA, analyzing the method of Paulo Freire, because it brought a new look at literacy bringing a new perspective and different teaching methods, considering the reality of the student so that the same Enjoy learning. The author also shows how important it is for the teacher to know his / her work group, the reality they live in and is part of the teaching process, trying to relate the knowledge of the books to the knowledge of the students' reality. Thus, we tried to base the process of teacher training for the EJA from new teaching and learning strategies; Understand how to establish the training of teachers of this type of teaching and identify the characteristics of the subjects of the EJA; And to design strategies for a new pedagogical practice. In order to reach the proposed objectives the methodology used in this research was a theoretical bibliographic study of exploratory nature, this type of research allows to reach a lot of information, using data obtained in several publications. Therefore, bibliographic sources such as books, theses, reviews and oral sources were used through interviews with EJA students, teachers, coordinators and directors. Finally, the study concludes that there is much to improve in the training of teachers, since they often leave college without going through the EJA teaching, since this is a subject offered as optional and not compulsory as it happens with the teaching of children And the early years of elementary school, so that teachers feel insecure to work with young people and adults. Therefore, it would be necessary to restructure the curriculum offered in the course of pedagogy in order to benefit the Teaching of Youth and Adults.
