PRÁTICAS INCLUSIVAS JUNTO A ESTUDANTES COM TRANSTORNO DO ESPECTRO AUTISTA (TEA) NO ENSINO SUPERIOR: REALIDADE, DESAFIOS E PRÁTICAS EXITOSAS

Abstract

Throughout history, there has been a process of struggle for the rights of people with disabilities and one of its consequences was the recently observed greater enrollment of this public in Higher Education. In this article, we intended to investigate, through a review of national literature, specifically the school inclusion of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within the scope of Higher Education, mapping the current reality and identifying challenges and successful practices. Comparing to what occurs in Basic Education, the results indicated that there is a lack of scientific studies on the inclusion of autistic people in Higher Education. The reading and analysis of the productions obtained also allowed us to identify that, despite the advances that have occurred especially in terms of legislation, there is still a long way to go in order for inclusion to be effective, a path that involves the transformation of conditions that consist of obstacles to inclusion, as well as the dissemination of successful practices.
