O ENSINO DE CIÊNCIAS NATURAIS PARA ESTUDANTES COM DEFICIÊNCIA INTELECTUAL NO IF GOIANO – CAMPUS AVANÇADO CATALÃO

Abstract

Promoting inclusive education involves taking measures to bring students with specific educational needs into mainstream schools. Therefore, it is the function of the school to adapt the space and the pedagogical proposal to the students, who demand any type of specific assistance. This work aims to investigate the teaching and learning process of Natural Sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) involving a student with intellectual disabilities from technical courses integrated into high school at IF Goiano – Campus Advanced Catalão. As a specific objective, the relevance of the study of the Regiments of the IF Goiano - Campus Advanced Catalão on inclusive education was placed; and the analysis of the Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) of students with intellectual disabilities, together with the verification of the approach to Science teaching present in this document; as well as the verification of the realization of curricular adaptations and pedagogical practices implemented for the better development of this student. As a scientific investigation methodology, a bibliographic review and document analysis were adopted. With this, the results achieved by the research showed that at the IF Goiano - Campus Advanced Catalão, the teaching of Natural Sciences for students with intellectual disabilities and the process of school inclusion occurs from different strategies, such as individualized educational planning, carrying out pedagogical adaptations, organization of curriculum flexibility, among others.
