A IMPORTÂNCIA DA FONÉTICA E DA FONOLOGIA PARA O PROFESSOR DOS ANOS INICIAIS DO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL

Abstract

This work aims to discuss the importance of phonetic-phonological concepts in the literacy process and in the other early years of elementary school, not acquired in initial training by many of the education professionals working in this field. In the course of this, questions revolve around which phonetics and phonology concepts teachers may not have, how these concepts imply in the teaching and learning of language (written or spoken), in which way the possession of these concepts could change the understanding and approach of the elementary aspects of the language with the students. The general objective is to raise awareness about the importance of phonetic-phonological assumptions in the teaching of the mother tongue. A bibliographical research is constituted, pointing out the authors' view of how to deal with these aspects, contributing to the improvement of the teaching of the mother tongue in the early years of Elementary School, if phonetics and phonology are satisfactorily inserted in the training of pedagogue teachers.
