For a long time, in literature, blackness was portrayed as a negative element, virtually always as the villain of the narratives and this caused a gap, leaving black children on the sidelines, needing black superheroes or non-stigmatized Afro figures. However, from 1950 onwards, some stories originated to have black characters as protagonists. In addition, bibliographic research will be used based on the concepts that discuss the theme, as this procedure will be essential for the formulation of answers to the problem raised. Thus, this article aims to analyze the composition of the character Lelê and how this composition can be related in favor of a discourse of emancipation of black culture.pt_BR
