Abstract

O Early childhood education is the first phase of the entire educational process, the moment when the child is faced with a new world, an environment with much diversity and rich in information. Thus, this bibliographical research sought to understand the role of music as a teaching tool in the formation of children in the early grades. It is understood that music, when worked on in the classroom with adequate planning, can be of great value to the child. Music allows children to free themselves, to think, and to express their emotions and their daily lives to other children. Thus, the research sought to know the history of early childhood education. To understand the role of music in the formation of children. And discuss music as a teaching methodology in the classroom. It was verified that music, when worked with pedagogical purposes, is an indispensable component in the school curriculum.
