CONCEPÇÕES DE PAIS E RESPONSÁVEIS SOBRE FINALIDADES EDUCATIVAS E O PAPEL SOCIAL DA ESCOLA: UM ESTUDO NO MUNICÍPIO DE HIDROLÂNDIA

Abstract

This article aims to present a theoretical discussion about educational purposes from the perspective of educational policies departing from the orientations of the international organizations, such as the World Bank, UNESCO, among others. It is also proposed to seek to identify the conceptions of parents and guardians, from the municipality of Hidrolândia, Goiás, about the role of the school in the formation and development of students. The collection of field data occurred from an interview, conducted virtually, between June and September 2020, with parents or guardians of students from the municipality of Hidrolândia-GO During the research, there was a great divergence between respondents on the proper fulfillment of the school's role today. Thus, it is necessary to rethink how it should comply with it and how it should be reshaped in order to meet the demand demand ed by its target audience and seeking to understand how the same characterized, that is, young people. . From the results obtained, it is observed that, although families realize the importance of a closer relationship with the school, which would encourage the monitoring of the development of their children, the reality, imposed by the capitalist logic, which imposes certain conditions on the social structure, this family-school relationship does not occur in a significati way.
