INCLUSÃO ESCOLAR DA CRIANÇA AUTISTA: UMA ANÁLISE SOBRE O PROCESSO DE SOCIALIZAÇÃO E INTERVENÇÕES ADOTADAS NO ÂMBITO ESCOLAR

Abstract

Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder, which has no cure. Its diagnosis is clinical and is characterized by atypical development in the areas of socialization, interaction and behavior. Understanding the characteristics of autism facilitate the inclusion of autistic children in the school environment, providing opportunities for coexistence with other people apart from their family, constituting a space for learning and development of social competences. A strategy in the learning process is the application of methods that provides improvements in symptoms and promotes quality of life to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This work was carried out through bibliographical research in order to seek information that promotes knowledge and understanding for this content, and has the proposal to understand what autism is, its characteristics, how the process of socialization and inclusion of the child is accomplished in the school environment and understand how intervention strategies such as the ABA and TEACCH are followed through.
