O PAPEL DA ESCOLA E DA FAMÍLIA NA CONSTRUÇÃO DA CIDADANIA: POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS DO MUNICÍPIO DE ARAGARÇAS - GO

Abstract

This article aims to understand the social role of the school and the family in the formation of conscious and participatory citizens, with a view to the city of Aragarças-GO. The methodology used was bibliographic research, qualitative analysis and the deductive method, having as theoretical contributions Cury (2002); Cury (2008); Dal Ri (2010); Dessen and Polonia (2007); Monteiro e Castro (2008); Silva e Cardoso (2018); Silva et al., (2011); Saviani (2008); and legislations such as the Federal Constitution of 1988; Children and Adolescents Statute (ECA, Law n. 8069/90); Law on National Education Guidelines and Bases (LDB, Law n. 9,394/96); Municipal Laws (2001), among others, which contributed to the systematization of information. The results and discussion point out the legal bases and the theoretical conceptions about the full exercise of citizenship, and the importance of the family and the school for this process. The final considerations highlight that it is in school and family institutions that children enjoy several interactions and experiences that have the power to transform, shape and form critical, free, political, democratic, participatory, creative, curious and capable human beings, being able to respect the diversity in society.
