CONTRIBUIÇÕES DA PSICOLOGIA PARA COMPREENSÃO E INTERVENÇÃO DO BULLYING NA ESCOLA

Abstract

Bullying can never be considered child's play, as bullying is any act of verbal, physical, relational or cyberbullying aggression, which is intended to harm or humiliate someone. Bullying is one of the causes that bring more negative consequences to students, children, and adolescents. Its consequences can result in sad, fearful, isolated individuals, with psychological problems, low school performance and in some cases it can result in suicide. Psychology plays a key role in the fight against bullying, as these professionals, along with the entire school body, have developed ways to help combat school violence. Teachers, in turn, feel out of place and have doubts about how to help their students in dealing with bullying. To carry out the work, a search was carried out based on a systematic review in 12 education journals arranged in the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) covering the years 2011-2021, the criteria for choosing the journals were their classification in Qualis A and Qualis B1 in the area of education. The objective of this work was to verify what had been published about bullying in those years, it is how teachers are being prepared to face bullying. The research results show that in 12 analyzed journals, 19 articles were found. In the year 2017 we concluded that it was the year with the most publications of articles, in analyzing the articles we noticed that teachers are not prepared to face bullying, teacher training courses rarely include bullying in the curriculum of content, and students continue being bullied, where the majority of victims/aggressors are boys.
