DIVERSIDADE FITOTERÁPICA DO CERRADO: CONHECIMENTO PASSADO ENTRE GERAÇÕES E O USO DE PLANTAS MEDICINAIS

Abstract

Ethnobotany is the science that understands the relationship between humanity and. plants, being it linked to knowledge and. richness of culture, where, due to lack of financial conditions or even inexistence and difficult access to treatment and medicines, herbal medicine emerged, the first reports of the use of these resources have been cataloged in the Neanderthal era. Phytotherapy medicine or by some called magical medicine is based on the use of plants and beliefs to cure diseases and illnesses, we all have some trace of this knowledge in our life even if it is indirectly, if we force our memory we will remember a small recipe using some part of a plant that was the solution to a certain problem. The Cerrado became an open-air pharmacy due to the great biodiversity of plants with this healing power, and with the addition of the wisdom heritage of the slaves and indigenous people who lived here. This art of knowing how to indicate the medicinal power of plants has become a very common profession in the Cerrado. Throughout this work, we will see the great importance of passing on this knowledge, preserving this culture and the abundance of Cerrado biodiversity. Subjects such as: Emergence, Evolution, Known Practices and the medicines that are made from various plants existing in this locality were reinforced.
